Police in Bishops Waltham are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary at Marwell Zoo in Colden Common.

Sometime over night between 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday, April 24) and 8am today (Friday, April 25) someone has broken into an office at the zoo and stolen the keys to a white Ford Transit van.

They have then taken the van.

The van has ‘Marwell Zoological Preservation Trust’ written on it and a gas powered barbecue was inside it, worth about £1500.

PC Kerry Fox said: “This is a very distinctive van and there is a very good chance someone has seen it being driven after the burglary.

“I would ask that anyone who has seen the van, witnessed the burglary, or has any information about those responsible, to contact police as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information should contact Bishops Waltham police station on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.Police in Bishops Waltham are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary at Marwell Zoo in Colden Common.
