A guided tour to Twyford Water Works, Nr Winchester,
Tuesday 23rd September- 6.30pm
Twyford Water Works Twyford Waterworks is a scheduled Ancient Monument and consists of a 5 acre nature site with numerous buildings, chalk quarry and meadowland tucked away in the Hampshire Downs. The guided tour will explain the processes, the operation and the history of the site and answer any questions you may have. There will also be the opportunity to observe a working water pump. The nature reserve has over 260 recorded species of plant, lots of mammals, plenty of birds and even a sizable Glow Worm population. £4 for members and £6 for non-members.
A Talk & Supper with Hampshire Wildlife Photographer Dennis Bright

The CPRE Test Valley District Group is holding a Talk & Supper at Longstock Village Hall, starting at 6.45pm; both members and non-members are invited to come along and enjoy what will be a fascinating & enjoyable evening.

The evening starts with a two-course supper (wine and fruit juices will be on sale), followed by a superbly illustrated talk by the nationally acclaimed wildlife photographer Dennis Bright.

The cost of the evening is £20 ; this includes a two course meal before the talk, using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Wine & soft drinks will be on sale throughout the evening.

A guided visit to Alton’s MRF,
Thursday 23rd October, 10.30 am
Altons MRF Following the great success of last year’s visit, CPRE Hampshire is organising a trip to the Integra Material Recovery Facility at Alton. Hosted again by Keely Gallagher, Project Director at Veolia ES Hampshire Ltd, the tour will look around the facilities and looks at the many ways your waste materials are recycled in Hampshire. There will be a charge of £10 for the visit, which includes a donation to CPRE Hampshire
